What is VOIP?
VOIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol, or in other words, phone service over the internet. If you have a reasonably good internet connection, your phone service can be delivered through your internet connection instead of from your local phone company. The way it works is that analogue phone signals are turned into digital signals that are sent over the internet.
Benefits of VOIP
Many people use VOIP in addition to their conventional phone service because VOIP offers much lower rates than traditional phone companies.
The VOIP telephone system is portable, meaning that a user can log in to their VOIP phone from anywhere in the world as long as there is an internet connection.
The VOIP telephone system is multi-functional, which means that aside from making phone calls, a user can also conduct videoconferencing through their VOIP phone from anywhere in the world.
